True, Satanism is a Philosophy to live by and to excel by (in its real understanding). How we each view Satanism is a personal choice. In fact, Satan wants us to each embrace this Knowing and Mastering of Self. “To Thy Own Self Be True” is indeed Satanic Thinking. Satan leaves it up to us to decide (or not) if we really believe in Satan… or if we merely look at the Master as, perhaps, a mere Symbol that represents our more basic or natural instincts as humans that have become the more glorified of animals. So, yes, upon traveling our own personal Satanic Path we will encounter along the way other Satanists that only subscribe to the usage of our Satanic Philosophy. Learn to respect their personal perspectives just as you demand respect for your personal perspectives about Satan. To Satan, the truth is that even if they do not believe in Satan as a Theistic Satanist does they are believing in Satan by believing in and at the least living Satanic Philosophy. To Generational Theistic Satanists (Yes, we exist) we actually not only believe in Satan and the Demons but also in the usage of Satanic Magick. The first true ingredient needed in Magick is Belief. When performing Satanic Rituals we summon and call not only on Satan but also the individual powers that the Demons hold. This is exactly why it is important to study extensively Demonology. To me, Satanism and Magick have always been handmaidens. No matter how an individual Satanist cares to look at ourselves. In the end we all acknowledge Satan.
